Elvis Presley was known for giving to those in need. Lisa Marie Presley carries on this
wonderful giving and caring spirit with her involvement in charitable organizations.
LEAP-The Literacy, Education and Ability Program helps their students gain a better
understanding of the English language and works toward increasing the literacy rate by
improving on their phonics and grammar.
The Presley Charitable Foundation includes Presley Place-Memphis and Presley Place- New
Orleans. They provide rent free housing for homeless families for one year. While living in a
Presley Place home they will receive career and financial counseling, as well as day care for the
children.
Lisa Marie has marched and testified before congress to stop the drugging of children, who are
diagnosed as having behavior problems, with psychiatric medications and to look for other
solutions to help them.
